PCOA21 Postponement

The Professional Conference Organisers Association (PCOA) last night regrettably announced that it was postponing the scheduled annual conference, which was planned for Hobart later this month. Barry Neame, PCOA president, said the decision to postpone was not taken lightly.

Christchurch Wins Bid to Host International Seed Congress

Christchurch has won the rights to host the world’s largest regional seed association congress, to be held in November 2023 at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre. The Asia and Pacific Seed Association (APSA) Asian Seed Congress is expected to attract up to 1,000 delegates, including 900 international and 100 New Zealand seed industry experts, for a week of meetings and workshops.

Virtual events play central role in Australians’ working life as online attendance continues to grow

ONE in three of us now attend more than 10 virtual events a month, according to a new study that indicates the sharp growth in online events sparked by the need to work and meet remotely could become permanent.

More than half (51%) of the respondents to the Australian study 1 expect to attend even more virtual events this time next year, while four in five say virtual events can be “as good as or better than their physical event counterparts”.
