PCOA21 and PCOA22 in the same calendar year

PCOA is planning on get members off to a flying start to 2022.

The Association postponed its 2021 conference, scheduled for early December, in the wake of new COVID-19 outbreaks.

The 2021 conference has been moved to 29-31 January 2022, and the venue, Hotel Grand Chancellor Hobart, is unchanged.

Creating a complete experience for event participants is so important. The venue, food, speakers – it all blends together. And, of course, there’s the audio-visual component.

We’ve all been at events where the audio just isn’t working. Situations like when people at the back of the room can’t hear the speaker. Or where the microphones are suffering from interference. The list of potential issues is long.

New Zealand expertise serves up new Oceania agri-food-tech event

New Zealand is embracing its role as a world leader in agri-food-tech with the launch of a new event, the 2035 Oceania Summit in Auckland.

The regional follow-up summit will draw on the experience of New Zealand-based global agri-food-tech consultancy Wharf42, which will co-host the AgriFoodTech Climate Summit at COP26 in Glasgow in November.

Business Events Australia Industry Update

Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the increasingly challenging times that so many of you are currently facing. We are thinking of you and I look forward to meeting in person when we can.

In the meantime, we remain committed to supporting industry to shape the recovery of the business events sector. The latest industry initiative, It’s our best shot for events, encourages Australians to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and in turn help bring us closer to restarting domestic business events. On the international side of our activities, our new Consumer Demand Project research for the business events sector, which is a key resource to help navigate the ongoing challenges of the global pandemic is being released today.
