NOW STREAMING: HYBRID EVENTS AT GCCEC
The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) has announced its enhanced hybrid and virtual capabilities, expanding the list of event offerings at the award-winning venue.
Hard hit by the pandemic, the event industry has seen the rapid acceleration of demand for integrated event solutions, with strong enquiry for hybrid, live streaming and online options.
Since the implementation of COVID-19 regulations, GCCEC has helped many events take place in various formats. Forced to postpone the full conference program in March, The Pharmacy Guild of Australia was able to successfully bring key speakers to delegates through APP Online, broadcast from the GCCEC arena.
In recent weeks, the convention centre has hosted hybrid events including Reimagine Gold Coast 2020 and the Surf Girl Awards. GCCEC facilitated live streaming of presentations at the think tank session, including communication from the Prime Minister, and broadcast the awards event to Surf Life Saving Queensland’s Facebook audience.
Ben Morris, Executive Manager – Technology said, “We have the ability to bring remote presenters to the Centre, stream events to public platforms, and/or provide private secure streaming and tools via our dedicated high bandwidth fibre optic internet connection.
“We believe the key to success is in finding the balance between engaging the remote audience and meeting the face to face guests’ expectations. Having flexible spaces and a dedicated in-house technology team GCCEC can deliver and find the balance for hybrid events,” he concluded.
