Passionate and well-known business events expert, El Kwang, has been appointed Chief Commercial Officer at The Venues Collection, starting the Sydney-based role on Monday, 12 September 2022.
With a focus on domestic association conferences, trade exhibitions, workshops and seminars, as well as corporate meetings and incentive group events with a business event program, funding is available to offset actual costs for hosting their events in Victoria.
Funding Now Available for Business Events – Apply Now For Accelerate Funding Round 3. The NSW Government is offering to fund up to $60,000 per business event held in 2023 in Greater Sydney, Newcastle or Wollongong and applications are now open as part of the third round of the Accelerate Fund.

Ivan Granados joined us in July as our new Food and Beverage Manager. In April we welcomed Ramon Van De Griendt as our new Executive Chef.
The Darwin Convention Centre has become the latest AIPC member centre to achieve AIPC Quality Standards certification with the successful completion of their audit by the designated external auditor. They join a group of 30 AIPC centres who have now successfully achieved this international certification, with a number of additional centres in various stages of the certification process.
