Tim Birley Rising Star Award – Applications Open
In 2023, PCOA in partnership with the Pan Pacific Hotels Group, introduced the Tim Birley Rising Star Award in honour of one of the industry’s finest, Tim Birley.
Tim was an industry champion who tragically passed away in March 2022. He was the ultimate professional, with a true understanding of how to balance customer care with delivering results for his hotels.
He took the time to get to know clients, and genuinely cared about the industry as a whole.
The Tim Birley Award celebrates Tim’s contribution to the business events sector.
Emulating Tim’s dedication to customer service and professionalism, this annual recognition will be awarded to a rising star from our industry.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
- Applicants should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the event industry.
- Applicants should provide an overview of their current position, including responsibilities and achievements, and detail why they should be awarded this prize in no more than 300 words.
- The application should be supported by a written recommendation from the applicant’s direct manager or employer.
- Applicants should be under the age of 30 years.
Applications are open to all Business Events Industry Professionals whether it be a PCO, Event Manager, Coordinator, or supplier to the events industry such as a hotel/venue team member.
