The Australian general manager of New Zealand’s first next-generation convention centre has just put his venue in the global spotlight. Te Pae Christchurch GM, Ross Steele has just been appointed to the board of the International Association of Convention Centres (AIPC), which will bring new visibility to both his venue and New Zealand’s strengthening appeal for international conventions.
The Darwin Convention Centre has become the latest AIPC member centre to achieve AIPC Quality Standards certification with the successful completion of their audit by the designated external auditor. They join a group of 30 AIPC centres who have now successfully achieved this international certification, with a number of additional centres in various stages of the certification process.
