Think Business Events has a triumphant return to in-person events at Adelaide Convention Centre for the Australasian College of Dermatologists 54th Annual Scientific Meeting

Monday 9 May, 2022 – After two long years of uncertainty, working from home and many hours of virtual events, the team at Think Business Events have a triumphant return to in-person conferences with the Australasian College of Dermatologists 54th Annual Scientific Meeting.

Taking place in Adelaide, dermatologists and those in the skin, hair and nail health profession converged on the Adelaide Convention Centre for four days of in-person presentations, workshops, training sessions, and networking opportunities.

‘It was so great to be back to in-person events after a two-and-a-half-year hiatus. I forgot how much we loved the adrenaline rush of being onsite producing face-to-face events, and the energy of those events – generated by the discussions, connections, conversations and interactions between delegates, sponsors and speakers.

There was a real buzz in the air – lots of happy, relaxed people so delighted to be seeing each other again after so long. It was a great vibe, just enjoying the simple pleasure of being back amongst other humans, something we previously took for granted.

Also, I think delegates relished the opportunity to be in a room with a speaker and get the 3D experience, and importantly being able to bump into them in the exhibition halls afterwards to continue the discussions.’ said Denise Broeren, Director at Think Business Events.

Having not run their ASM in person since 2019, the College was thrilled to have their Fellows and trainees all under one roof again.

‘ACD is very pleased to have brought together our members for the first time since 2019. The meeting was well attended and enjoyed by all, providing opportunities for collaboration and networking that have not been possible over the last two years.’ – Haley Bennett, CEO at The Australasian College of Dermatologists

The conference welcomed 950 delegates from all across Australia, along with some international attendees. The organising committee made sure to make the most of the return to an in-person event by incorporating experiences that would not have been possible for a virtual only format mere months prior. The College’s party was held at Adelaide Zoo, sponsors welcomed back the ability to be involved in hosted breakfasts and dinners, and social events included tennis and golf tournaments.

With a success on the books for 2022, Think Business Events and The Australasian College of Dermatologists are already working on the 2023 iteration for the 55th ASM.
