A business events expo dedicated to Queensland will give PCOs and other meeting and function planners an opportunity to access a diverse range of products, services and relevant information around the state in one and under one roof.
Designed as a boutique expo, Convene Q will have a Queensland for Queenslanders focus while at the same time welcoming PCOs and other qualified hosted buyers from around Australia and New Zealand.
PCOs based in southeast Queensland can register here: http://www.convenequeensland.com/local-buyer
PCOs from outside southeast Queensland can apply to be hosted buyers here: http://www.convenequeensland.com/local-buyer
Being held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on July 29, Convene Q is attracting interest from convention bureaux and regional tourist offices, offsite venues, accommodation providers, speakers bureaux, offsite function venues, and activity and attraction operators.
Stu Freeman, director of Convene Q organiser ProMag Publishing, says the key to Convene Q will be the ability to really drill down on the detail for a Queensland event.
‘Obviously it is important to us to have the key, larger players in the Queensland industry exhibiting and we already have names such as the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane Marketing, QT resorts and many others confirmed. But on top of that we have exhibitors who are not so likely to be at the large national events. For example, we have just welcomed Ipswich City’s business events brand Destination Ipswich. Added to that we have exhibitors such as the Explore Group, which offers sailing experiences out of the Whitsundays.’
Freeman says interest is heating up as the expo gets closer and a large number of new exhibitors are expected to be announced over the next week or two.
Professional conference organisers keen to attend should sign up now and we will make sure they are updated on progress with the expo.
